Huda Beauty Obsessions Palette Review – Warm Brown Palette

This was my first ever Huda Beauty purchase *shock horror*, I know. Her normal sized palettes are quite expensive (for me) and considering I only wear eyeshadow on the odd occasion here and there I couldn’t bring myself to purchase one. BUT she just dropped 4 new palettes for £25! Whilst it’s still sort of on the expensive side it’s a price I’m happy to pay for a palette.

Description

“The ultimate capsule make up wardrobe, this unites nine ultra-versatile, buttery smooth shadows – one magnificent metallic surrounded by eight saturated mattes.”

Application

Let me start off by saying I don’t purchase high-end eyeshadows so this was my first ever and it did not disappoint. The matte eyeshadows are so buttery and easy to apply it made me feel like I’ve been missing out for years! They were really easily to blend, have a good amount of pigmentation and there was no fall down from any of the colours (even the shimmer). The gold shimmer shadow has just the right amount of shimmer to ensure you get a sparkle on your eyes but not too much that it looks over done. With some shimmers I have found that you often need to have a wet brush to get the shimmer to adhere to your lids and have the same pigmentation as in the palette but this gold shimmer literally glides on and blends easily too.

Longevity

I have quite oily lids so I used an eyeshadow base prior to applying them and they did last pretty well, by around the 8th hour I could see some of the shadows breaking up a little in the crease but overall they lasted quite well.

Overall Review

I honestly love this palette, if you’re an eyeshadow kind of gal and you don’t own any Huda Beauty products get yourself to your nearest makeup store. The only thing I was slightly disappointed with was the size of the palette, when I purchased it I didn’t read the description so I was expecting a decent sized palette but it’s literally the size of my palm. It makes it good to travel with and the eyeshadow formula is really good but for £25 I was a little hurt, not gonna lie. Overall it is a good little palette and will make a nice little christmas gift or stocking filler!

Overall Rating: 4/5 (Just because of the size, formula gets 5/5!)
