Rohto Hadalabo Gokujun Hyaluronic Lotion – Review

I’m a sucker for Korean skincare products, they just have such good value, good for your skin products that I now struggle to use anything manufactured elsewhere. For those of you who don’t know what Hyaluronic Acid is let me quickly re-cap for you;

Hyaluronic Acid

An acid naturally found within our skin, which sadly begins to reduce over time leading to wrinkles, dehydrated skin and generally sad looking skin 😦

But not to worry, of course the beauty world manufactured products that deliver the wonderful moisturising factors to skincare products so that we can still reap the benefits even when our skin begins to age. These acids aim to delve deep within the dermis to help retain water and in turn make the skin look plump, hydrated and youthful.

The Breakdown

Water, Butylene Glycol, Glycerin, Disodium Succinate, Hydrolyzed Hyaluronic Acid, Hydroxyethycellulose, Methylparaben, PPG-10 Methyl Glucose Ether, Sodium Acetylated Hyaluronate, Sodium Hyaluronate, Succinic Acid

Running the ingredients through COSDNA I found nothing irritating, Butylene Glycol did flag a 1 (out of 5) for potentially causing acne but in whole the product contains no alcohol, fragrance or colourants which makes it suitable for sensitive skin (my skin type).

“Super Hyaluronic Acid (SHA), the key ingredient in HADA LABO moisturizing products, attracts moisture from the air and retains it in the skin. By replenishing the skin’s natural ability to hydrate cells and lock in moisture, SHA improves skin’s elasticity and suppleness. Enhanced hydration also creates volume, helping to diminish the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines”

My Experience

I have combination skin so I had high hopes for this to reduce my dry patches but without making my skin too oily and boy did it deliver! If you have oily skin you will appreciate that this doesn’t leave your skin feeling tacky, especially under makeup! This was my first experience using hyaluronic acid from a bottle rather than a sheet mask and I love it. I used this over the course of around 3-4 months, morning and night, and I would say it reduced my dry patches around my eyebrows and chin.

I recently ran out of the product and I was sceptical that it actually had any benefits but not using it I felt my dry patches start to come back and my skin had been looking less plump. The product is quite runny almost the consistency of water so it can be time consuming patting the product into the skin but is definitely worth while.

Overall Review

I have nothing bad to say about this product aside from that i absolutely love it and recommend it anyone and everyone! I didn’t realise the difference it was making to my skin until it finished and is now a permanent staple in my skincare routine. As this product originates from Korea I believe the only way to purchase this is either through Amazon or eBay. I purchased mine through Amazon for around £9.

Overall Rating : 5/5
