Fit Me Matte and Poreless Review : Oily/Sensitive Skin

I think I’m a bit late discovering this foundation, I only came across it when I was recreating Gigi Hadid’s AMA makeup look (which you can see here if you missed it). I’m not a big fan of drugstore foundations because of my sensitive skin, but since I had purchased it I thought it would be a good idea to review it for those of you thinking to go out and buy it. I have find it cheaper on Amazon which you can find here.

I have done a mini review of how it looks and lasts through the day on my instagram which you can check out here.

“Mattifies and refines pores and leaves a natural, seamless finish. Ideal for normal to oily skin, our exclusive formula with micro-powders controls shine and blurs pores. Leaves a natural, seamless finish.”

The foundation blends very easily without attaching to any dry patches and looks quite matte once set. My personal preference is to use a damp beauty blender to apply the foundation, but I have also applied it using an oval brush and find it easy to blend leaving the foundation looking very natural. I would say it is medium to full coverage and build able without looking cakey. I also used a setting powder to keep everything in place as i have very oily skin. I applied the foundation around 8am and it looked flawlesss. Check out my gram for how it looks:

For those wondering I wear shade 220.

I found at around 12.30pm I had started to get slightly oily across my t-zone and chin, I applied some powder and found it lasted till around 6pm. I was very shiny at this point which had caused the foundation to move a little on the skin and look ‘worn’. I touched up with a little more foundation on the cheeks where it had moved the most and powdered again and found it to look quite good without appearing too cakey.

The foundation comes in a small squeezy tube and you get…I like how small and portable it is and easy to dispense product from. I also like how you can get every bit of product out of it as you can cut it half and make sure you get every last drop (please tell me i’m not the only one who does this).

Overall Review

I do really like this foundation and for £5.99 I don’t think you can really go wrong with it.  From what I saw there was a wide range of colours suitable for skin tones light to dark, and I believe there are more shades available online. I like how the finish of the foundation is quite natural yet buildable and you can’t feel the foundation sitting on the skin which is a major + from me. Also, so far so good with not breaking me out. Hope i haven’t spoken too soon though!

Overall Rating: 4/5
