The Drops of Youth Bouncy Sleeping Mask from the Body Shop has been a huge hit with a lot of people. Designed to enhance youth with it’s formula, boosting skins suppleness and improving the overall texture of the skin. I recently came across a very similar product from Superdrug’s own Brand, B., the B. Radiant Night Cream, with a smaller price tag. The Body shop sleeping mask is priced at £22 and the B. radiant night cream is £11.99.
The key ingredient in the Drops of Youth is Edelweiss Stem Cells, which aim to deliver potent skin renewing properties when applied, whilst the B.’s key ingredients aren’t as extravagant they are, Olea Europea Leaf Extract and Hyaluronic Acid. Which aim to firm, smooth, and restore elasticity, whilst the acid sweeps away dead skin.
Both the Drops of Youth and the B. Radiant Night Cream, have identical textures. Almost jelly like, when you press it it returns back to it’s shape and wobbles around if you shake it. When applied the only big difference i noticed was the tackiness, the B. Radiant Night Cream was a bit stickier then the Drops of Youth, and both are designed to be worn overnight, this wasn’t a big problem, you just might need to wash your pillow cases a bit more often. The Drops of Youth also comes with a cute little spatula which i was excited to use at first but honestly i stopped using it after the third application because it’s just easier using my hands.
After finishing both products i would say they are both pretty much identical aside from the tackiness, they both left my skin feeling more supple and hydrated, reducing my dry patches. Even though i have an oily skin this doesn’t add to any extra oil production, if anything it seemed to control it better. I don’t need to powder as much through the day!! Definitely a +. A little does go a long way, using it every night it took me around 2-3 months approximately to get through both of them.
I have just repurchased the B. Radiant Night Cream and will probably stick to this one compared to the Drops of Youth and save myself some £££.
2-3 months? I used a whole year my Body Shop sleeping mask. I really didn’t need more than a little little drop of it. Great post!
